DreamMaker Kids was created in 2004 from the desire to promote career awareness. Tony McMurray (founder and president) saw the need for early intervention in the course of a student’s development, specifically pertaining to their direction after high school. He believes early exposure to future decisions, planning, and academic goal setting will enable more students to pursue higher education with the purpose of obtaining a desired career. DreamMaker Kids assiss educators and parents in illustrating to youth the message “if you believe it, you can achieve it”.
In the 2005-2006 school year, DreamMaker Kids was invited to provide the Career Day Program at Indian Creek Elementary, in Clarkston, GA. The program was provided to nine schools in the Atlanta area the first year and twenty-three the following year. In the summer of 2007, DreamMaker Kids became a Franchise Company so we could expand and offer the program to all elementary and middle schools nationwide. Currently, we have expanded outside the Atlanta area and are quickly growing. Opportunities to join our team and promote this program are available across the United States. It is our sincere hope that every student discovers and develops his or her future potential. DreamMaker Kids enables students to see the possibilities and encourages them to have an “I can do it attitude.” We help promote early commitment to education by linking today’s learning with tomorrow’s career opportunities.
